Mission Statement:
The mission of the Media Center is to provide quality media, technology, and information services in order to enhance learning and ensure access to ideas and information for all.
As the Media Specialist, I will strive to work together with teachers to offer activities that integrate literacy into curriculum, so that students will have their best chance of becoming literate. My goal is to foster a love of books and reading that will prepare students to become life-long readers and learners.
Biography:
This is my 10th year in the Gwinnett County School system. I have been at Monarch since 2004 as the Media Specialist. I have an undergraduate degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Clemson University and a master’s degree in Library Media Technology from Georgia State University. My goal is to foster a love of books and reading that will prepare students to become life-long readers and learners. I live in Duluth with my husband and two daughters.
